Vocal Health Screenings

During our 45 minute vocal health screening, we work with you to discuss your concerns, listen to your voice and come up with a vocal health action plan, to put you on the road back to vocal health.

Vocal Wellness Sessions
Our directors & voice care team can work with you to maintain your vocal health (this is called vocal habilitation!). Efficient vocal technique is essential to avoid compensatory vocal behaviours that my result in future vocal injury.

Using Estill Voice Training as our foundational voice model coupled with the latest voice science, our qualified and experienced vocal coaches will work with you to build you a strong, efficient and reliable voice, as well as educate you on relevant vocal hygiene practices.
​
All vocal wellness clients will require a Vocal Assessment with a Vocal Hub director before the commencement of sessions. Please note that voice care sessions are designed for clients with healthy voices. If you have a vocal injury, voice therapy sessions with a speech pathologist may be advised prior, to return your voice back to a healthy baseline.

Voice Therapy
Our certified speech pathologist Melissa Choong is qualified to work with you on your vocal rehabilitation.

Melissa’s interest in music and voice has lead her to voice therapy journey. Her strongest passion has always been in using the voice as an instrument. Her curiosity sparked a desire to better understand how we can develop the use of this uniquely personal instrument to its fullest potential. This led her to complete her Master of Speech Pathology at Flinders University.
​
She currently practices as a speech pathologist working in areas of speech, language, voice, fluency, feeding, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She enjoys working with neurodiversity and believes in empowering every individual with a voice to effectively communicate and express themselves be it through speech or singing. Melissa is also a clinical educator for the Flinders University Fluency and Voice Student Clinic at the Women's and Children's Hospital.

FEE SCHEDULE
​Our therapy fees are in alignment with the NDIS hourly rate for allied health professionals at $193.99 per hour. Therapy sessions are claimable on Medicare and private health insurance.
